Sorry for the delay, folks… we’re on the final chapter of the story, and I’ve had a hell of a time trying to wrap it all up in something approaching a satisfactory conclusion. I’m still not totally happy, but I probably never will be. Anyway, only four pages to go… thanks to anyone who’s stuck with it.
I don’t know how this page fits into the grand scheme of things (my own fault), but I really liked it nonetheless. I love the dialogue here; it’s a tradition of sorts to “listen in” on the random conversations of criminals and this was good stuff.
“Jesus shit” is a great profanity. Kinda rolls off the tongue. Of us heathens.
Some of your better storytelling in a while here, too. The last three panels are gold.

Thanks… the way it fits into the overall story is that the guy who got shot (Crosetti) is the big boss who was Kayla’s rival, who Eddie used to work for before he ran off with Four-Eyed Janey, and who Janey was being held captive by in an attempt to get some information about Kayla’s operation. The other guy’s just a random thug who works for Crosetti, sort of taking up Eddie’s role while Eddie is (Crosetti thinks) off looking for an escaped Janey.
I shoulda done a better job visually establishing him in this particular story.
